Biography
Widow of Michael Nihell of Barbados (q.v.) and annuitant under his will of £500 p.a. secured on the Haslenton estate in Demerara and the Mount Edge estate in Barbados.
- Will of Martha Nihell of Devonshire Street, St Marylebone widow (made in 1816) proved 04/04/1822. She left the bulk of her personal possessions to her grand-daughter Mary Bovell (later identified as Mary Nihell Bovell), or if Mary Bovell died to her (Mary's) three brothers John Bovell, John Roach Bovell and Michael Nihell Bovell (each of whom q.v.), together with £1000. Her executors were Thomas King of the City of London and his son William King (each of whom q.v.), supplemented in a codicil by Thomas Harpur King.
