John Cummins

???? - 1822

Biography

In a Levy Book list for St James, Barbados, 1822, Cummins was listed as owning, with James Cummins (q.v.) as their joint property, 115 enslaved and 183 acres of land. The name of the estate (or estates) was not given.

In a Levy Book list for an unidentified parish [probably St Andrew], Barbados, 1804, John Cummins was listed as owning 51 enslaved. Whether this was the same John Cummins as this one is not clear.

It is also possible that this was John Cummins who was buried in St James, Barbados, 28 September 1822.
