Biography

Probably the Dowding Thornhill who married Thomasin Ann Burrows, St James, Barbados, 25 November 1795 and who died between 1826 and 1829. Downing and Thomasin Anne Thornhill had a son Timothy baptised in St James Barbados 26/12/1813 who was a captain in the merchant marine and died in England in 1897, and a daughter Thomasin or Thomasine born c 1817: the two siblings were living in Milverton Somerset in 1871 and 1881.
