William Erskine, Lord Kinneder

1768 - 14th Aug 1822


Biography

Son of William Erskine, episcopal clergyman at Muthill, and his wife Helen nee Drummond. Became an advocate in 1790. Close friend of Sir Walter Scott. Advocate-depute 1806-1809, sheriff-depute of Orkney 1809-1822. Appointed a judge in 1822.
