London merchant, partner with Robert Bogle junior and William Scott: the firm failed in 1772.

Administration of the will of Robert Bogle senior merchant of Grenada West Indies bachelor granted 12/12/1777 to William Gemmell (q.v.) and Robert Gemmell (q.v.), the trustees and (according to the grant of administration) residuary legatees, no executors having been named. Under the will, Robert Bogle senior (who described himself as 'merchant in London') left his estate 'except my share in a soap manufactory in Glasgow' in trust with half to the benefit of his eldest sister Agnes Anderson wife of James Anderson merchant in Glasgow and then to her son William Anderson, and half to the benefit of his youngest sister Rebecca Bogle.
