Named as trustee and executor to his cousin James Wedderburn Colvile in 1808 (will written in 1802). Son of Richard Dundas of Blair Castle and Margaret Wedderburn, daughter of Sir John Wedderburn (father of James Wedderburn Colvile). His brother served in the East India Company.
