Resident slave-owner on Nevis, dying c. 1841, and almost certainly the same man as the James Lawrence the awarded of Nevis nos. 189 and 191.

  1. Will of James Laurence of Nevis [made 1839] proved 04/10/1841. The will proved a number of monetary legacies, including to his wife Jane and to Mary Springett and her daughter Fanny Laurence, but makes no reference to landed property on Nevis.
