The inventory of Hannah Gill, 'free woman of colour' deceased, of St Michael, Barbados. Inventory dated 28 October 1814.
The value of her estate was £1,050 6 3d and included 1 enslaved person, Clementina and her infant child, valued at £75. The dwelling house (in Bentley’s Lane) was valued at £600, a second smaller house in Back Church Street, at £150. The remaining list of items includes furniture, silver and other tableware, glasses (including 2 champagne glasses!), etc. etc. At the end of the inventory is the ownership of Clementina after all other property has been listed.
