Biography

Owner of the Lancaster estate in Berbice, which was announced to be sold at the petition of Thomas Bond against Webbe Hobson in 1812. A call for creditors was made in 1817 on behalf of the curators of Webbe Hobson deceased (Daniel Allt and Charles Kyte) under an authority dated 21/07/1817. Webbe Hobson was shown as the father and as of St Kitts in the record of William Webbe Hobson's admission as commoner (aged 21) to Trinity Hall Cambridge dated 09/10/1786.

  1. Webbe Hobson was one of the signatories of the address to George III on peace with the American colonies from the West India planters residing in Great Britain and the merchants trading to the said islands in 1783.
