Biography

Henry Curry was shown as the 'owner' of Curry's Rest on Dominica in 1817: it seems likely that this was the same man as the Henry Curry late of Dominica whose creditors signed a trust deed in 1791 with a final dividend paid in 1811. Henry Curry was present proprietor of St Joseph Lots 77 and 82 in Dominica c. 1773.

  1. The will of Henry Curry of [Bedford Street] St Paul Covent Garden proved 05/01/1822 was possibly this man. There is a link in the will to Dominica in the presence there of one of Henry Curry's nephews and legatees, John Scott Curry. Henry Curry left some £2500 in monetary legacies in total, much of it to his second cousin William Hillier of Rochester's family.
