An online family tree gives William Cross born 02/01/1763, son of John Cross (1719-1779) and Lilias nee Purdie (1733-1818). A user-submitted family tree of Familysearch.org gives some similar details, as does the Clan MacFarlane website. William Corse (sic) son of John Corse, merchant, and Lilias Purdie, born 02/01/1763 and baptised 05/01/1763 in Glasgow.
