Biography

Owner of Braemar estate in St Mary, Jamaica. Died at Braemar 22/10/1820.

James, son of Walter Pollock Esq of St Mary and Ann his wife late Harriett was baptised in Kingston 28/08/1814.

Active member of the St Mary militia: Lieutenant in 1787; Captain in 1790 and 1796; Lieutenant Colonel in 1802; Colonel in 1805 and 1808. Coroner in St Mary in 1805 and 1808. Assistant Judge or Magistrate in St Mary in 1817.

Overseer in St Mary: on Orange River 1778-1781, Oxford 1787-1793 and Tremolesworth 1794.
