Biography
Slave-owner in Jamaica, apparently killed in a duel in 1823.
- Probably but not certainly the Charles Merrick referred to in the will of his brother Thomas William Merrick formerly of Aycliffe Street, Harper Street, Kent Road but late of Bromley in Jamaica proved 03/01/1827. In the latter will, Thomas William Merrick referred to his sister Eliza as a beneficiary under the will of their brother Charles, and portrayed a network of family and friends in Borough and Lisson Grove London.
