Biography

Son and heir of Henry James Passley, inherited a one-third share of Rodney Hall in St George, Jamaica, on the death of his father c. 1830. In 1861 Henry Passley born Jamaica WI aged 39 [i.e. born c. 1822] 'Clerk (Sewing Machine)' [sic] was living as a lodger at 3 Stonbridge Vilas Hackney. Although a minor, he might be the Henry Passley appearing for the compensation award in Portland no. 35.
