Biography
- Will of John Dawson of Kingston Jamaica [made in 1802] proved 23/08/1808. He ordered his house at Kingston and his ten named domestic enslaved people to be sold and the proceeds to enter his estate. He left £3000 to his son also John Dawson, Capt. in HM's 62nd Foot now serving in Ireland; and £2000 to his daughter Elizabeth Hull, wife of Edward Hull of Donaghadee, Ireland. He left his residuary estate in trust for 20 years, for the trustees to pay each year 3/4 of the income to his daughter Sarah Hull, wife of Lt Col. Trevor Hull of HM's 62nd Foot, and 1/4 to his son John Dawson.
