The 10th and youngest son of William Hall of Tully, Co. Donegal, Ireland. (Year of birth estimated.) Established mercantile business in Barbados before 1805.
1810: married Lucretia Ostrehan, only daughter of Joseph Ostrehan ( -7 August 1809) and his wife, Elvira ( -12 Jan. 1848). No children by the marriage.
Owned Locust Hall plantation and 'appears to have had extensive mercantile interest in Barbados, Demerara and elsewhere'. In Barbados, a merchant in Bridgetown.
Buried in St George's church, Barbados. On the north wall of the church, the memorial tablet to Hall (which shows his death on 12/09/1810 aged 34) was sculpted by the celebrated artist, Richard Westmacott. Dated 1813.
