Biography

Slave-owner on Barbados, buying out his co-heir to an estate in St Philip variously known as Vineyard, Contented Retreat and Francklins or Franklyns, which he appears to have lost to a Chancery sale between 1826 and 1829. Very probably the same as Joseph B. Francklin, Awardee, Barbados 1995 [1 Enslaved].
