Owner of Aberdeen estate in St Elizabeth, Jamaica. Likely 3rd son of James Rowe of Great Torrington (q.v.), and physician to the Island Estate owned by Joseph Foster Barham (q.v.). Married in 1774 Margaret (1755-81), daughter of Christopher Senior, member of the Jamaica Assembly for Westmoreland. The couple had a daughter Deborah Margaret, baptised in St Elizabeth in 1781. He is referenced in his father's will of 1785 as James Rowe the Younger. He is also mentioned in his elder brother's will, William Rowe (q.v.). By the 1780s he acted as his father's attorney in Jamaica, along with his brother William. He served as magistrate for St Elizabeth's from 1787 to around 1796 before dying in 1799. Aberdeen was inherited in trust by Deborah Margaret.
