Biography

Son of Hon. Laurence Shirley and Anne Clarges. Married (1) Mary Elsegood, daughter of W. Elsgood, 30 March 1773; (2) Anne Hele, daughter of Thomas Hele, 6 November 1809. Died without issue. (Mary was the widow of Sir Stephen Anderson.)

Rose to become Vice-Admiral in Royal Navy.

Lived at Horkstow Hall, Lincolnshire, England.
