Daughter of Edward Cumberbatch; inherited his share of the Nicholas estate on his death. She also inherited the share of Lawrence Cumberbatch, her uncle, on his death in 1832. Her property passed by marriage to her husband, Charles Cave.
Daughter of Edward Carlton Cumberbatch (1765-1821) and his wife Sarah nee Howell. Born 10/10/1797 in Barbados. Married Charles Cave, second son of Stephen Cave of Cleve Hill House, Gloucestershire, 01/05/1818 in Bath.
Probably at Cadogan Place in 1841 with Charles Cave, age 45, merchant, although Sarah Cave is given as age 40 with the occupation FS. Living at 23 Lowndes Street, Chelsea, in the census of 1851, age 53, with her husband, a banker (private firm), son Stephen age 31, niece Rosalie G. Cumberbatch age 20, 1 male servant and 3 female servants. At 23 Lowndes Square in 1861, age 63, with her husband, 2 male servants and 3 female servants.

1851, 1861 censuses online. Note the National Probate Calendar gives her husband Charles's address as 23 Lowndes Street at his death in 1887. It also gives him as formerly of Cadogan Place.
