Son of James Gauld and his wife Elizabeth (Betty) nee Gordon. One of the legatees in the will of his uncle John Gordon of Kingston. Baptised in Glass, Aberdeenshire, 06/03/1780. Living at Bomincalloch, Botriphnie, in the census of 1841 with his brother James and mother Bettie. At the same address in 1851 but not in 1861. No death has been found for him.
