William Lambie I

Biography

Co-owner with Charles Irvine of Friendship estate in St Thomas-in-the-East, dead by 1770, and given as late of Great Britain. The Friendship estate was held by William Lambie III at the latter's death in 1832; he was almost certainly a descendant but the relationship has not yet been traced definitively. A normally reliable genealogical source shows William I as the uncle of William II and great-uncle of William III.

William Lambie was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 580 acres of land in St Thomas-in-the-East.
