Biography
- Will of Margaret Bayford late of Bedford Street Bedford Square but now of Chelsea [made in 1821 with a codicil of 1822] proved 31/03/1825. Under the will she left £1000 and an annuity of £200 p.a. to her daughter Harriet, and £100 to her son John to be paid out of monies from the West Indies due to her as debt. She left half her residuary estate to her daughter Margaret Rawlins (failing whom to her son-in-law William Wharton Rawlins) and the other half to her son-in-law Jonathan Harrison. In a codicil she limited the annuity for Harriet Bayford to her unmarried life: on her marriage she was to receive instead 1/3rd of the residuary estate.
