Biography
Son of John Hammet (MP for Taunton 1800-1811) and Elizabeth nee Woodford, and nephew of Sir Ralph Woodford.
- Will of Frederick James Gordon Hammet formerly secretary to Sir Ralph Woodford governor of Trinidad, late Assistant Protector of Slaves proved 22/09/1834. He left a house in Port of Spain to his brother Charles Woodford Hammet 'now in France' and another to a natural son, Mozart Fernando. He manumitted an enslaved man, Fregus [sp?].
