James Hardyman of Trelawney, Esquire. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1781. Slave-ownership at probate: 178 of whom 100 were listed as male and 78 as female. 41 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £24345.11 Jamaican currency of which £13442 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £0 currency cash, £4843.87 currency debts and £70.82 currency plate.
