Biography

  1. Will of Francis Smyth merchant of [St Vincent now residing at the City of] Bristol [made 05/01/1806] proved 31/01/1807. Under the will he left his personal and unspecified real estate, but including enslaved people, in trust for his brother James Smyth of Cumber Co. Down Ireland for life, and then to James's sons, John, Kennedy and James. His trustees included Evan, Hugh, Peter and James Baillie.
