Biography

Daughter and co-heir of James Williams of Bedford Square (q.v.), and tenant-for-life of half of Unity Valley.

  1. When her husband John Shean made his will in 1829 he commented that his wife's moiety of Unity Valley would pass at her death to their eldest son John James Shean 'under the will of his grandfather.'

T71/1201: counterclaim by John James Shean, now residing in Paris, by his attorney John Hopton Forbes. James Williams died in February 1806 [sic], leaving 1/2 of the plantation to his daughter Emma, who married Major James [sic] Shean. Mrs Anne Pearson was the sister of Emma Shean.
