Biography

Almost certainly the 'Catherine Bourke' an infant who appears to have inherited Barriffe Hall from George Barriffe. Although the record is ambiguous, it might be that she was in fact 'Catherine Bourke Barriffe'. As Mrs Catherine Nagle she was the owner in 1810: she married Lawrence Reade Stephens (q.v.) the following year.

  1. Barriffe, Catherine, daughter of George Barriffe and Margaret his wife baptized 6/6/1778 by William Williams, rector St. Mary.

  2. July 28 [1818] At Jamaica [death of] Catherine, wife of Laurence Reade Stephens Esq.
