Sir Joshua Rowe

Biography

Chief Justice of Jamaica, 1832-1856. Eldest son of the late Joshua Rowe Esquire of Torpoint House, Cornwall. Married in 1823 to Frances, eldest daughter of James Bate. Admitted to the Inner Temple in 1818, called to the bar in 1826, Judge of the Vice-Admiralty Court in 1835.

Died at 10 Queen Anne Street, London, 30/10/1874, effects under £35,000. Sole executrix his widow Dame Frances Anne Rowe.
