  1. Will of John Ashley late of the island of Barbados but now of Blackheath Kent proved 09/10/1751. In the will he left his estates and enslaved people on the Halton and Valley estates in Barbados to his son, also John Ashley. He left £2000 to his daughter Elizabeth Aynsworth Ashley.
