Biography

In the will of Ann Kennedy youngest daughter of John Kennedy of Balloney [sp?] 'spinster of Edinburgh, Mid Lothian' made at Edinburgh 09/04/1783 and proved 21/07/1787 among other possessions she bequeaths 'whatever may be found to pertain and belong to me of the effects of my deceased brother John Kennedy sensible that his right to the Aurora plantation in the colony of Essequebo in South America is now sold and converted into money or other moveable effects' to her sister Joan Kennedy, and refers to the lumber trade from the estate.
