Mary Hynes was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 765 acres of land in Port Royal and 1245 acres of land in St Elizabeth, total 2010 acres.
Will of Mary Hynes spinster of St George Bloomsbury proved 28/01/1763. In the will she left her property in Jamaica to her friend Mrs Esther Swete (q.v.) of Bedford Row and if 'Mr Beach' should recover anything from her father's estates, then half the benefit was to go to Esther Swete and half to Mary Hynes's sisters of the half-blood Elizabeth Elletson and Hellen Beach. She described Mrs Frances Sadler Hals as her 'mother-in-law', but presumably meant step-mother.
