'Natural daughter' of William Dorrill (owner of Salt River, Paradise and Egypt estates in Westmoreland). Married John Cope, son of John Cope of Strathbogie, in 1753 at the age of 16. Inherited Egypt and Paradise estates from her father in 1754. Eight children baptised in Westmoreland between 1757 and 1773.
