Absentee slave-owner in Jamaica, described as of Great Britain in 1817 when he was joint-owner with Hugh Fraser of the 60 enslaved people in St Andrew later sold to Robert Chisholm (q.v.) and then identified by LBS as attached to the Newton estate. Not further traced by LBS to date but presumably connected with Hugh Fraser of Newton (d. 1785).
