Biography

  1. Will of Sarah Walcott widow [late of the parish] of Christ Church Barbados [but now of Brasted Kent] proved 29/08/1811. In the will she left monetary legacies of £10-50 each to a range of family members in Barbados and £150 each to her nephews Henry Adams Mayers and Conrad Mayers 'in remembrance of their attention to me in England.' In a codicil of 1806 she left the messuage or tenement in Brasted Kent that she had bought from George Barrow to her nephew and adopted son John Pollard Mayers (q.v.), whom she also made her residuary legatee.
