Will of George James of St James Barbados [made in 1813] proved 09/11/1815. In the will he asked that his estate called Swans in St Andrew be kept together by his executors, or sold at their discretion, for the benefit of his wife Elizabeth and two daughters Georgiana and Mary. He left to Dr James Maycock his share of the books in the Literary Society of Barbados and his place in the society.
On 25/02/1836, his two daughters, Eliza Georgiana James and Mary Reeve James, married at St James Barbados, to William Clarke and Henry Alleyne respectively.
