Will of James Wharton of Grenada proved 20/05/1825. He left £800 each to his natural children Henry Ellen Charles and Willam James, the children of Ann Woodhouse who was pregnant with a fifth child. He is residuary heir was his nephew Henry Wharton Waddilove (q.v.).

Free woman of colour; left Demerara in 1812 as a young woman and settled in Starthforth, Yorkshire, where she died in 1862.
