LBS has not yet identified whether Joseph Hardy Esq., the father, was Joseph Hardy of Mount Clermont and Derby Wharf (q.v., dead by 1817) or the Joseph Hardy who appears in the compensation records as awardee in Trelawney.
Jane Sophia and Mary Louisa Hardy recovered a judgement debt of Matthew Hardy for £109 10s 5d of the slave compensation for Industry estate in Trelawney, with the balance to John Warren as guardian for children.
