Biography

Owner of 735 acres and 96 enslaved people in St Andrew, Jamaica, in 1753. Deceased by 1766. Probably the son of the John Maverly of St Andrew whose estate was probated in 1748 (although not listed as deceased in 1753 so possibly this was a relative).

John Maverly was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 664 acres of land in St Andrew.
