Will of Nathaniel Strode of St Croix proved 06/05/1796. The will is silent on 'slave-property' in St Croix, and disposes of property in Bristol, which was under the care and direction of his beloved friends Cave & Ames and Co., bankers. He left two houses in Bristol St Augustin to his wife together with his monied property, which he instructed be put into he funds and the interest paid to his wife for life and then to his daughters Eliza Armstrong, Jane and Sarah Strode. He is associated in the Danish archives with an estate on St Croix called Lilienshiold.
