Ann Compere

Biography

Reb., Dor. and Ann Compere were listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owners of 1532 acres of land in St Dorothy. The three women were daughters and co-heirs of Mary Compere, who under her will proved in 1730 left them an estate named Otell and other property in St David [sic] Jamaica, subject to an annuity of £10 p.a to her son Wildgoose [sic] Compere.
