William Virgo

Biography

William Virgo was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 173 acres of land in Hanover. His will made and proved in 1775 showed him as the owner of Water Valley, which he left to his sons James Virgo (q.v.) and Montague Wisdom Virgo. The Water Valley estate was indebted to Neill Malcolm, and in 1781 the two brothers conveyed it to Robert Minto, with Neill Malcolm's approval.
