Sources
Based on online genealogical material, Joseph Littledale of Berbice was apparently the son of Isaac Littledale (1735-1791). It appears that the brothers Anthony and Alfred Littledale, the latter dying of Demerara c. 1805, were the cousins of Joseph Littledale of Berbice and Thomas Littledale of Liverpool. The latter was in partnership as cotton-brokers with Isaac Littledale whose will proved in 1828 described Thomas as his partner and cousin.
