Christiana Aitkin

No Dates

Possibly the Christiana Aitken, born 22/12/1802 and baptised in a group of "free mulatto children" in Kingston 20/10/1810. Or perhaps Christiana Elizabeth Atkin, "mulatto child", baptised in Kingston 04/08/1804 aged 4 months. Likely to be of colour as she had two children while unmarried: with Samuel McCrae - Samuel Robert McCrea baptised 31/07/1826 in Kingston; with John Gore - Emily Ann Gore batised 10/12/1826 in Kingston. The baptism record images for Kingston between 1825 and 1837 are not available online so only the index has been used.

Bartholomew Ibbott Williams registered two enslaved people as guardian of Samuel McRae and Emily Gore, children of Christiana Aitkin deceased in Kingston in 1826 and 1832.
