Will of Mary Trant widow of [East Street Red Lion Square] St Andrew Holborn proved 26/05/1792. She left 'two black girls' Mary and Alice to Miss Ann and Miss Penelope Trant now at Trinidad. She left the rest of her property in trust for her niece Alice and Alice's children with James Bontein (q.v., under Sir James Bontein).

Sources

PROB 11/1219/176. Vere Langford Oliver in History of Antigua Vol. III p. 143 shows the legatee as Saml. Bontein, but the legatee was clearly James.
