William Finch Palmer

Son and residuary legatee of Eliakim Palmer of London, who according to his will had interests in Barbados as well as in Boston. William Finch Palmer appears to have been mortgagee for £35,000 on the Walkers estate in Barbados in 1777, and a beneficiary under the will of the Surinam slave-owner Thomas Walker (q.v.).

1. Will of William Finch Palmer of Berkeley Square proved 29/04/1828. He left his assets - his house in Berkeley Square, the remains of a leasehold in Lower Berkeley Street, and monetary assets including £4000 mortgage on the estates of William Windham and an annuity of £100 p.a. on the life of Edmund Cradock Hartopp bart. - to his wife Mary.

Will of Eliakim Palmer merchant of London proved 24/05/1749, PROB 11/770/250. He left £50 to George Walker and John Lyte of Barbados for helping his executors realise his effects there.
