Total value of estate at probate: £10474.93 Jamaican currency of which £4567 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £308.9 currency cash, £3402.31 currency debts and £77.43 currency plate.
The will of James Witter was proved in Jamaica in 1741.
The estate of James Witter deceased was listed in the Accounts Produce for Hanover in 1743, produce being sugar and rum. This is tentatively identified as Mosquito Cove, owned by a second James Witter who died in 1768.
