Original purchaser of Lot No. 67 (300 acres) in St Joseph on Dominica, one of number of early purchasers from Montserrat. His daughter Louisa in 1796 married Captain Henry Mitford (1769-1803) whose second wife was Mary Anstruther, daughter of Hon. David and Hon. Mary Anstruther (q.v.), and niece of Alexander Donaldson (q.v.).
