Biography

Thomas and Richard Shubrick were merchants and slave-factors in Charleston and London. James Irving the elder reportedly mortgaged Hartfield Estate to Thomas Shubrick and Richard Shubrick of London, merchants, for £17,227 18s 3d c. 1766.

  1. The will of Richard Shubrick merchant of [Barge Yard] Walbrook proved 12/09/1765 identified his brother as Thomas Shubrick and his nephew and son both as Richard.
