Sources

Kenneth Morgan, 'Bristol West India Merchants', Transactions of the Royal Historical Society Vol. 3 6th series pp., (1995) 196-7. No slave-ownership has yet been traced for him: conceivably he was the same man as Mark Davies who owned Cheltenham and Mt Charles in St Andrew in the 1810s, but no evidence has yet been found for this.
